Reflect on my learning

I am learning so much from this class. I'm learning that I'm not as good with technology as I thought I was. There is so much to learn. My philosophy has always been with we making learning interesting and fun, then I believe that all students will want to learn. With using technology in the classroom, I think our students are going to be more eager to come to class and learn.

The one thing that makes me a little nervous is setting up a class blog and having my kids use it. Sue had made a great point in her blog - that we as the teacher needs to set it up so that we have to approve everything before it gets posted. I would hate for someone to say something or post something inappropriate and I get into trouble.

It has been a while since I've last blogged....I find myself not having anytime to blog or anything else that pertains to the Intel class as well as my other classes that I'm taking. I can honestly say that I have way too much on my plate this semester - but what is keeping me going is knowing that next week will be the last week of two of my gifted classes, my college class is over May 11, and I graduate with my Masters May 16th.

I didn't even mention trying to get 4th grade reading to take the Math and Reading TAKS test. I just finished this morning getting all the tutoring stuff passed out - that is a big relief as well. I'm just going to keep on truckn' and hopefully I get everything accomplished that I want to accomplish.

I have to thank Gina for all her hard work on our Intel class and keeping me motivated :)

Since I didn't

get anything accomoplished last night, I'm trying to get everything done tonight. I realized that even though I needed the rest last night - I'm having to catch up tonight. I just got finished cleaning out the van, make sure I have Shelby's dance stuff and I'm waiting for the dryer to stop so I can pack white clothes.

Gina, even though I didn't want to go to class tonight, I'm so glad I did. Guess what I got....ok, I'll tell you. I received a Travel Brochure Rubric...yes, can you believe it. It was just put into my hands :) Can you say, one less thing we need to do for our class. Even though I'm not going to be at work on Friday, I'll bring it to you tomorrow when I pick up Shelby (around 10:00) will you be in your room?

Why is it....

that I am alone on a night where it is cold and raining outside. Why couldn't my husband be home and we can sit in front of a warm fire. I guess it never works out that way.

that I have ton of laundry to do and I just sit in front of the TV watching the Biggest Loser with the kids.

that I left my school bag in the van on purpose, only to know that I'm not going to go outside and get it.

that I have so much on my mind and so much to do but I don't do anything.

Can someone please tell me why.

Does the state of Texas think it is that important to give a Reading Benchmark to students after they just got finished taking their Writing TAKS and we are only six weeks away from our Reading and Math TAKS....doesn't make sense to me.  

I'm hoping that I will get in the habit of blogging everyday - I know that Gina will be so proud.  Thank you Gina for helping me get my stuff in order :).
